(That's hello in Guaraní 🙃)
This is actually the first and last email I'm going to send before being shipped off to Paraguay next week. Which is pretty crazy because it feels like I just got here
It was a struggle getting to the MTC, I actually missed my flight but Heavenly Father didn't let me get lost without a companion so I met this other random missionary (Elder Larson) who missed his flight as well. We were able to get on a later flight to Mexico, which was such a blessing. I sat by this Mexican woman who spoke only Spanish and we shared basic conversation. I told her I was serving in Paraguay, and right after she called her son and gave me the phone. He told me that I need to find his friend and help him. Maybe that's why I needed to miss the flight, I don't know. After landing in Mexico me and Elder Larson stood in the middle of the airport and happened to run into Elder Soares and we just said hi. With my checked bags being on the other flight I had to last three days with one extra pair of clothes. But I wore em front, back and inside out so it's okay.
Being at the MTC is such an amazing feeling. You can definitely feel that it's sacred ground and a special place. There are parrots and palm trees and these black squirrels that look like monkeys. My district is full of amazing people who all have such strong testimonies. I've been learning lots of Spanish. Not enough but I think it's safe to say I can order burritos, (which is all you really need). I am district leader which has been super fun! I get to keep up on the wellness of other missionaries in the district and help wherever needed.
We had the opportunity to go to the Mexico City temple which was so amazing. We've been able to do everything you can do in the temple and it's been so nice.
I know that Heavenly Father loves all of you and you are such special sons and daughters of God. Throughout my time here I've really come to know the truth of the words in the book of Mormon and the words of the prophets inside of it. It's the most true book in the world.
Love you all I hope you have a great week/weeks. I'm not sure when the next email will be but I am sure it will be a lot better!
